[Mushi hasn’t noticed the scraps of paper prior to the spirit’s appearance. He may do his best to keep his room tidy, but… let’s face it, he’s a teenage boy at heart, and so the odd piece of trash here and there is ignored. He has noticed that Taka still hasn’t contacted him since the auction, which is a tad disappointing… but it doesn’t matter. Clearly Taka just wasn’t interested in spending time with Mushi. That’s fair enough.
He has the spare time now to be sitting around on his bedroll after work, just flipping through a book he’s borrowed from the library, when he sees the spirit hopping around and squeaking in the corner of his eye.]
