[The soot sprite has taken to wearing the scrap in a similar fashion to how Mushi wears his scarf, and squeaks and chirps about in glee when Taka simply takes the note. He flips it over, writing on the back.]

You weren't supposed to get that note. I was going to write you a proper one, but Miranda got

[Taka watches the sprite strut around and then tosses it a candy]

carried away. Anyways, we can meet up there. I don't care what you think of me.

[Miranda waits for Taka to fold it up until it's more maneagable to carry, then dashes off to deliver the reply to Mushi. Closed doors aren't a problem, so when the sprite squishes itself in, it's pulling the note in after it.]

[Aww, Mushi is overjoyed to see the way the little sprite is wearing the new addition, and he claps his hands a bit as he sees it hurry over and present the note.]

Thank you so much! You're really making that scarf look good, too!

[Now, back to writing.]

Don't worry about it! We can send proper notes next time. The sprite's name is Miranda then? How cute!

[Miranda squeaks and jumps up and around his feet, holding out its tiny thread-like arms and waving even tinier hands at Mushi. It's begging, not knowing what this person can give it, but still desperately trying to earn a reward.]

Oh, hey... You want something, huh? Let's see... what can I give you...

[Oh! He does have those chocolate-dipped strawberries from the café! One is... twice the size of Miranda, but that doesn't stop Ryoji from passing one over.]

[Miranda accepts the strawberry, squeaking excitedly until it's handed over and then her tiny legs quake and she falls, squished beneath the treat. She flails, a little black mess of soot, arms, and legs.]

Whoops! I'm sorry! I guess I'll have to break that into pieces.

[He lifts the strawberry back up, breaks the tip of it off, and hands it back to Miranda.]

[Miranda lifts it up, and then lowers it, almost treating it like a weighted bar before she runs around in circles, the tiny scarf flapping about before she jumps, showing off her strength with the bit of strawberry.]

Aha! Look how strong you are! How about you go snack on that, and when you want more, you can come back and I'll give you some.

[Because, gosh, she's so adorable.]

[The soot sprite seems happy about this and runs over to the door. It's easy for her to squish her body under it, but the strawberry is still too big to fit in the gap between the door and the ground. She's out of the room, tiny little arms flapping about, grabbing the treat, and tugging, knocking it against the door over and over.]

Woah, hey, hold on a second! I'll open the door for you. Just let go of the strawberry and move out of the way, alright?

[Silly little thing. He waits a few moments so she can take cover, and then slowly opens the door.]

[Miranda fusses, squeaking in long shrill little spurts before she draws her arms back and waits for the door to open. She's in the way, and when it starts to open, she moves, tiny legs carrying her swiftly to the space that Mushi creates. She jumps up and down, flapping her arms about and hoping he'll give it to her.]

Heh, easy, easy! I'm not going to steal your treat from you!

[He carefully places the piece of strawberry back in Miranda's arms.]

There you go.

[Miranda straightens her scarf, then squeaks once and takes the strawberry piece before taking the tip of one of Mushi's fingers, attempting to shake it.]

[Mushi lets out a chuckle and moves his finger gently.]

Nice to meet you too, Miranda. I'll see you next time Taka-kun sends me a letter, okay?

[Miranda squeaks and then salutes before hopping down. It's a long fall, but she's not really damaged. For a moment she just floats, then gathers her scarf, adjusts the strawberry and trots out.]
